Plagiarism Policy

IJILRS is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and ethical publishing. All submitted manuscripts must represent original, unpublished work, and authors are expected to properly cite and acknowledge all external sources and contributions.

1. Originality

Authors must submit manuscripts that are their original work and have not been published previously or submitted simultaneously to another journal, unless otherwise permitted by the journal.

2. Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

• Copying text, ideas, data, images, tables, or other material from another source without appropriate acknowledgment.
• Presenting another person's work or ideas as one's own.
• Using substantial portions of previously published work without proper citation or permission where required.
• Self-plagiarism or redundant publication, including reusing substantial portions of an author's own previously published work without appropriate citation or disclosure.
• Paraphrasing another author's work without proper attribution.
• Using translated material from another source without appropriate acknowledgment.

3. Proper Citation and Attribution

Authors must provide appropriate citations and references for all sources used in their manuscript. Direct quotations must be clearly identified and properly attributed to the original source.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that citations and references accurately represent the sources consulted.

4. Plagiarism Screening

Submitted manuscripts may be checked using plagiarism-detection or similarity-checking software as part of the editorial process. The journal may conduct screening before peer review, during the review process, or at any stage before or after publication.

A similarity score alone does not automatically establish plagiarism. The editorial team will evaluate the nature, extent, and source of any identified overlap.

5. Plagiarism Identified Before Publication

If substantial plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are identified before publication, the manuscript may be:

• Rejected from consideration.
• Returned to the authors for clarification or correction in appropriate cases.
• Subjected to further editorial investigation where necessary.

The journal reserves the right to take appropriate action depending on the seriousness of the case.

6. Plagiarism Identified After Publication

If plagiarism is identified after publication, the journal may investigate the matter and take appropriate action. Depending on the circumstances, this may include issuing a correction, expression of concern, or retraction of the published article.

The journal may also notify the authors' affiliated institutions or other relevant authorities when considered necessary.

7. Author Responsibility

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and properly cited before submission. Submission of a manuscript confirms that the authors have complied with the journal's plagiarism and academic integrity requirements.

By submitting a manuscript, authors acknowledge their responsibility for maintaining originality, proper attribution, and ethical standards throughout the publication process.
